Keeping you signed in

When you log in, your session is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits, along with a small first-party cookie recording whether your account is a general contractor or a subcontractor. That cookie only lets us send you to the right dashboard without a round trip — every request is still authorised by the server against your session. Both are removed when you log out.

Your preferences

Local storage also holds interface preferences such as your light or dark theme choice. These never leave your browser.

Where you found us

If you arrive from a search engine, another website or a campaign link, we store one first-party entry in your browser's local storage — tradetobuild-attribution — recording the campaign parameters that were in the link, the domain that referred you, and the page you landed on. It contains no name, no email address, no IP address and no identifier for you; we cannot tell from it who you are or what else you do online.

Its only purpose is that if you go on to create an account, we can tell which channels actually bring people to TradeToBuild rather than guessing. It is sent to us once, at the moment you sign up, and deleted from your browser at the same time. If you never sign up it is never sent anywhere, and it expires by itself after 90days. Clearing your browser's site data removes it immediately, and nothing on the site behaves differently without it.

Analytics

No analytics provider is configured on this deployment. No analytics script is loaded and no third-party request is made from these pages.

Controlling any of this

Everything described above lives in your own browser and can be removed at any time by clearing site data for this domain. Doing so signs you out and resets your preferences; nothing else about the service changes.
